Hoa Lee is a female singer with a unique voice, an appreciative sound, which most audiences seem to love very much.

As a teenager she sang at school, for the very first time, singing the song “Ave Maria”. From that moment on she was asked to perform regularly in the local churches, a capella. When she turned 12, a band invited her to be the lead singer. However, due to her young age, she had to turn down the offer. It was during this period that she learned her first chords on the guitar. The school lessons also involved music and diction, which came in handy. She started performing regularly at camps, where everyone sang along with her by the campfire (Chiro and Scouts camps).

When she became a young woman, around the age of 18, Hoa had to give up her musical ambition, due to several reasons, such as her work as a model, and her relationship, which also involved raising 4 children of her own. Still, she couldn’t really let go of music … At karaoke nights she’d be there, singing out loud and proud, and even winning one singing contest after another.

In 2003, Hoa was introduced to the Belgian countrysinger René Guylline, who encouraged her to take up her singing career again and supported her musically and professionally. This took her to a music style that she’d loved ever since she was a kid: country music!

Hoa Lee is what one might call a “selfmade” singer/musician. In her youth she was mainly influenced by singers like Lynn Anderson, Nancy Sinatra, John Denver, and Petula Clark. Later on she’d also be influenced by the music of CCR, Elvis Presley (’68 comeback), Alan Jackson, and Shania Twain.
